Gordon Ramsay is taking things up another level.

Ethan Shanfeld Gordon Ramsay‘s “Next Level Chef” has been renewed for Seasons 5 and 6, just two weeks after the fourth season of the cooking competition premiered on Fox. Plus, the franchise is being extended with a holiday competition, “Next Level Baker,” which has been given the green light for Season 1. The spinoff, a four-hour special in total, will test the skills of bakers as they are tasked with creating festive holiday delights across the franchise’s three levels.

BreAnna Bell Fox has ordered two more seasons of Gordon Ramsay’s “Next Level Chef,” Allison Wallach, Fox Entertainment’s president of unscripted programming announced. “Serving up two more orders of ‘Next Level Chef’ was an easy decision on the heels of an incredible sophomore season, propelled by its historic post-Super Bowl debut,” said Wallach. “Gordon has orchestrated a series that brilliantly demands skill and creativity in a tri-level pressure cooker, delivering high stakes, high drama and some of the most innovative cooking I’ve ever seen.” “I’m so thrilled that we’ll be bringing two more seasons of Next Level Chef to Fox,” said Ramsay. “It’s the culinary gauntlet of cooking competition shows and we’re excited to continue to raise the bar!”

K.J. Yossman “Next Level Chef” is headed to France after Kitchen Factory Productions snapped up the French format rights to the culinary competition series. Kitchen Factory, who will produce the French version, announced the deal on Wednesday (Oct. 19) alongside Chef Cyril Lignac, producer Matthieu Jean-Toscani and Studio Ramsay Global, the joint production venture created by British chef Gordon Ramsay’s worldwide production with FOX Entertainment. (Ramsay is pictured above, left, with Lignac). The format of the show sees a three-storey stage on which each level boasts differing culinary equipment and ingredients reflecting their environment. The competing chefs – comprised of restaurant-experienced professionals, home cooks and even social media stars – must use their imagination and unleash their creativity all while keeping their cool as they attempt to climb from the challenging basement floor to the glistening top.

For Next Level Chef, executive producer Matt Cahoon needed to think of a new idea for Gordon Ramsay’s next big show. He realized the key to creating something new and original was to really put the chefs’ skills to the test.
