Emmerdale earlier this week.The character has become a popular and familiar face in the village since arriving in 2018, after being revealed as the long-lost son of Emmerdale long serving resident Charity Dingle.Actor James Moore has also becoming a fan favourite with many viewers, and was given the National Television Award for best newcomer just one year after arriving on the soap.Both on screen and in his personal life, James uses his role on the soap to promote an awareness of the need for more roles for disabled actors.He also shares a home with his beautiful girlfriend and their adorable cat.As Ryan finds receives life-changing news, Daily Star has taken a look at James' life away from the cameras.James has spoken in the past about how he felt there were not enough roles for people with disabilities in TV programmes and films.The actor has Ataxic Cerebral Palsy, which means that he has problems with his co-ordination and movement, and difficulties walking long distances.Although James wanted to act from a young age, he struggled to find roles and instead, went to university to study photography.He had previously told Leeds Live: "In order to have roles there needed to be disabled roles developed, so I was like, that could hold me back a little bit."However after studying at university, he worked with the National Youth Theatre and had roles in plays and short films, which he sent to potential casting agents.Within two weeks of signing with an agent, he landed the role of Ryan in Emmerdale, and he has since explained how he loves to represent people with disabilities on the soap.He told The Mirror: "This is why I love being a part of Emmerdale – it’s showing disability in a new light and letting viewers know that
