88rising has announced the first slate of artists for its fifth annual Head In the Clouds festival in Los Angeles.Head In the Clouds LA is set to take place on August 5 and 6 at Brookside at The Rosebowl. This year’s edition will be headlined by DPR Ian, DPR LIVE, Jackson Wang, NIKI, Rich Brian, Rina Sawayama, XG and YOASOBI, plus special guest Zedd.In addition, the festival will also feature performances by South Korean singer-songwiter Baek Yerin, Thai musician Phum Viphurit, Thai rapper MILLI, Chinese singer Akini Jing and J-pop girl group Atarashii Gakko.

K-pop soloist Kwon Eun-bi and boyband KINGDOM are set to perform at K-Fest in the Canadian capital city of Ottawa.The Korean Cultural Centre (KCC) in Ottawa in Ontario, Canada has announced that soloist and ex-IZ*ONE leader Kwon Eun-bi and boyband KINGDOM will be performing at its upcoming K-Fest event on June 10 (Saturday).The festival celebrates the 60th diplomatic anniversary between Korea and Canada, and also acts as the main event of the KCC-hosted 2023 Korea Week. Kwon Eun-bi and KINGDOM are set to perform as part of the event’s grand finale from 8:30pm EDT.K-Fest will be held at Lansdowne Park, Great Lawn, and will take place from 2pm to 10pm EDT.

XG have dropped a new remix of their hit song ‘Left Right’ featuring Ciara and GOT7 singer Jackson Wang.On May 4, XG unveiled a reworked version of ‘Left Right’ on streaming platforms. The remix of the song, which was originally released in January 2022 alongside lead single ‘Shooting Star’, now opens with a new verse by Ciara.

NMIXX, has signed with a new label.Today (April 14), South Korean news publication Sports Kyunghyang reported that ex-NMIXX member Jinni has signed with a new agency called United Artist Production (UAP).In addition, the outlet also reported that UAP has inked a management collaboration deal with Sublime Artist Agency, home to Tiffany Young, Jackson Wang and more.Sublime Artist Agency has since confirmed the news in a statement to Star News. “Jinni recently signed an exclusive contract with UAP and we have decided to work together through the MOU collaboration,” the agency said.“We will provide generous support to UAP’s artist Jinni’s global activities so she can showcase her multitude of talents and potential, and we are delighted to be able to demonstrate our synergy together,” it added.UAP has since opened Instagram, Facebook and YouTube accounts, where they refer to the K-pop singer under the modified moniker of “Jini”.Jinni left NMIXX and JYP Entertainment in December 2022, less than ten months after the girl group made their debut in February of the same year.At the time, JYP Entertainment said that Jinni was leaving “due to personal circumstances”.

Jinyoung is set to enlist into the South Korean military next month.Today (April 5), South Korean news outlet JTBC reported that the GOT7 member has received his military enlistment notice and would begin his mandatory service in May, adding that the K-pop idol would serve as an active-duty soldier.The report has since been confirmed by Jinyoung’s agency BH Entertainment. In a statement to South Korean media, BH Entertainment said that the K-pop idol “will receive basic military training at the training center [starting] on Monday, May 8 and fulfill his military duty as an active-duty soldier”, per Osen, as translated by Soompi.Jinyoung will be the second member of GOT7 to enlist in the South Korean military, following leader JAY B in February.

Epik High have given fans a glimpse into life on tour in the new music video for ‘Catch’ and ‘On My Way’.The music video features audio from the bridge from ‘Catch’ as well as Tablo and Mithra Jin’s verses from ‘On My Way’, accompanied by behind-the-scenes footage of Epik High travelling to different countries and rehearsing in concert venues for their ‘All Time High’ tour. Jackson Wang has announced concerts in London, Paris, Singapore, Dubai and more as part of his ‘MAGIC MAN’ world tour.The tour was confirmed by concert promoter AEG Presents on social media on Wednesday (September 28). The tour currently consists of six dates: three this year, and three next year.

In the video, Wang arrives in an alternate reality and proceeds to battle an army of soot-covered soldiers using his fire-breathing powers.He then approaches the queen for combat, which plays out through choreography by Wang himself and Vinh Nguyen.“I’m coming back to you / So I really hope that you don’t mind / I know you want me, too / Even though you’re not mine / You got that look in your eyes,” the GOT7 singer-rapper sings on the track.In a press statement, Wang called ‘Cruel’ “a very special record”, as “it really set the precedence for where the narrative of the album needed to go and sound.“We were working on many records before this one, but we were struggling to find a clear direction.

Jackson Wang has opened up about his “memorable” past experience as an idol trainee under South Korean music label JYP Entertainment.The GOT7 singer-rapper was a recent guest on the popular Thai radio show WOODY FM, where he recalled his time as a trainee under JYP Entertainment in preparation for his debut with the K-pop group.When asked to name one memorable event with GOT7, Wang told show host WOODY about a time prior to GOT7’s debut, when all seven members were “back in JYP’s trainee system”. “We were going through this project – cycle – where they eliminate different trainees every week,” the Hong Kong-born musician reminisced.“That was very memorable to me, because it’s so nervous, it’s like every week we [felt] like we were about to die,” Wang admitted. “But then we were the seven that made it to the final round.

GOT7 member Jinyoung has opened up about the truth of the group’s relationship with each other in the first seven years they were together.In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the seven-piece reflected on the progression of their chemistry as a group, both as music group and as friends. During the interview, Jinyoung revealed that the septet did not get along for a long time after their made their debut in 2014.“In the beginning, when we first debuted, we didn’t get along, and the chemistry wasn’t quite there,” the singer-actor told the publication.
