Liam Payne supports ex Cheryl at Sarah Harding’s charity ball four years after split
Girls Aloud star Cheryl was joined by her ex Liam Payne as she reunited with her bandmates to honour the late Sarah Harding. The pop star accompanied Kimberley Walsh, Nadine Coyle, and Nicola Roberts for the Primrose Ball in London on Saturday evening, set up to raise vital funds for cancer treatment.Harding died in September last year aged 39, after being diagnosed with breast cancer and confirming in August 2020 that the disease had spread to other parts of her body. One of her last wishes was to hold a fundraising event to help others, hoping she would be able to attend herself to thank those who have supported her.Sadly, she died eight weeks after telling her bandmates of those plans, so the remaining members of the successful girl group organised the ball to raise money for the Christie NHS Foundation Trust and Cancer Research UK as part of the Sarah Harding Breast Cancer Appeal.Hosted by Fearne Cotton, former One Direction star Liam was on hand to support his ex-girlfriend and the other Girls Aloud members.Liam cut a dapper figure in a black suit and tie, which he wore with his glasses.Meanwhile, Cheryl donned a chic black gown, adding a pop of colour with a hot pink clutch bag.Cheryl and Liam have remained on good terms despite parting ways in 2018, as they also share a son, five-year-old Bear. The former couple were together for over two years, but reports at the time of their break-up said they were simply in ‘different stages of their lives’ and decided it was ‘best for everyone’ if they went their separate ways. While Cheryl has remained largely out of the limelight since becoming a mother, Liam has continued with his music career and has had only good things to say about her in the press. He previously hailed
