Oti Mabuse is due to show Strictly Come Dancing bosses what they're missing with a performance on this weekend's Dancing On Ice.The professional dancer announced she was leaving the BBC dancing show this week after seven years.The 31-year-old will take a break from judging on the ITV skating show to perform a slot adapted from her new stage show, I Am Here.The ITV production team are constructing a special platform for Sunday's show where Oti will dance above the centre of the rink on a stage.Skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean will skate around Oti along with the Dancing On Ice pro skaters.Oti told The Sun how the performance is a "dream come true".She also explained how it will be an honour to perform a routine choreographed by skating legends Torvill and Dean. Oti said: “It’s a dream come true to debut my I Am Here tour on Dancing On Ice this Sunday!“This tour will be the end of the most amazing chapter of my life and it’s my way to say thank you to everyone that has supported me on this journey.”During her seven years on BBC's Strictly, Oti is the only pro dancer to lifted the Glitterball trophy twice in consecutive years, with Bill Bailey in 2020 and former Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher in 2019.Torvill and Dean famously won gold at the 1984 World Championships dancing to Ravel's Bolero.64-year-old Torvill said: "We always love to experiment with new ideas and it was so much fun working alongside Oti on this brand new routine.“It really does show how much dance and ice skating can work in unison together.”Dean also said he was extremely excited about the upcoming routine.

BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker shared a heartfelt tribute to Strictly Come Dancing’s Oti Mabuse after it was confirmed she will be leaving the show after a seven year run.Dan took part in last year’s series of Strictly and placed 10th with his partner Nadiya Bychkova.Oti Mabuse was partnered up with rugby player Ugo Monye and were the fourth couple to be eliminated from the dance competition.The official Strictly Come Dancing Twitter account tweeted a picture of Oti Mabuse holding up the Glitterball Trophy with her two partners.She won the competition two years in a row, in 2019 with Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher and in 2020 with comedian Bill Bailey.“Oti has been a truly wonderful part of Strictly for the past seven years. Her energy, creativity and talent have contributed to so many of the show’s most memorable moments and she will be hugely missed, not only by viewers but the entire team.”The post went on to say that she leaves a “dazzling legacy” as the “only professional dancer to win the Glitterball trophy in two consecutive years”, before saying that the BBC “couldn’t be prouder of Oti and what she has achieved.”BBC signed off the message by saying that she “will always be at the very heart of the Strictly family” and that they wish her “every success in her already bright future.”The caption for the post read: “Sadly, the brilliant Oti Mabuse is leaving the show after seven incredible series.

Oti Mabuse, 31, stunned many last month when it was announced she would replace John Barrowman as a judge on this year's Dancing on Ice.The dance professional has hinted she could return to Strictly Come Dancing, however negotiations for the 2022 season are yet to begin.Many fans of Oti's feared her sudden move to ITV, four days after Strictly finished, could ruin her chance of returning to the ballroom floor.Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, Oti revealed: "Those conversations happen in February."It will have to be something we talk about as a team."Last November, Oti's exit from Strictly was hinted at due to there being speculation that two dancers were considering quitting the hit show.Oti was tipped as well as Aljaz Skorjanec being tipped to be leaving the show.At the time, the speculation prompted a show source to say: "Bosses will worry other stars could follow."Oti admitted last week that although she "loves" Strictly, she is not sure what her future is on the show.Speaking to Fabulous magazine last weekend, she said: "I really love Strictly, and we just had the final and all that emotion. Did you see me [during the final]? I looked like a mess.“It has been such a big part of my life.The best part of my whole dancing career has been Strictly."So, I don’t know yet, I really don’t.”Oti joined Strictly in 2015 and has since become the most successful professional in the history of the show.She lifted the Glitterball Trophy for two consecutive years with partners Kelvin Fletcher and Bill Bailey.The Latin American champion first hinted she would leave the dancing show in April 2021.Speaking prior to the latest series, Oti told The Telegraph: "I love to dance, and I also love bringing joy to so many people.
