2023 BET Awards are set to feature a slate of star-studded performances! BET announced the first slate of stars taking the stage during «Culture's Biggest Night» on Thursday, revealing that the non-stop hip-hop party will span 50 years of the genre. 2023 nominees Coco Jones and GloRilla will take the stage to perform some of their recent hits, along with hitmakers Doechii and Lil Uzi Vert.Other performances from the full range of hip-hop subgenres include 69 Boyz, Big Daddy Kane, Chief Keef, DJ Unk, E-40, Fast Life Yungstaz & Easton (F.L.Y.), Fat Joe, Ja Rule, Kid 'N Play, MC Lyte, Percy "Master P" Miller, Remy Ma, Soulja Boy, The Sugarhill Gang, Trick Daddy, Trina, Tyga, Uncle Luke, Warren G, Ying Yang Twins, and Yo-Yo.«We have an incredible lineup of performers who will take us on a musical journey, covering Hip Hop spanning every decade, style, and region,» said Connie Orlando, BET EVP, Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy in a press release.

Sean «Diddy» Combs is showing love to those who've shown him some! On Thursday, the music mogul took to his Instagram to show his gratitude toward Yung Miami for her sweet show of support as he took the stage to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2022 BET Awards.As the 52-year-old accepted the award, thanking his mother sitting in the crowd, his peers in the industry and his fans, the City Girls rapper was in the audience holding up a sign reading «GO PAPI!»Diddy shared an image of the 28-year-old holding the sign on his page, writing, «This is one of the sweetest things anyone’s ever done for me! Thank you Shawty Wop!

The BET Awards on Sunday night (June 26) were a celebration of the invaluable work of Black artists everywhere, celebrating the likes of Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, and Kendrick Lamar. They also became a platform for those creatives to make their voices heard, as many attendees used the stage to criticize the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 ruling that established a constitutional right to abortion.

Best New Artist trophy at the 2022 BET Awards, Latto gave viewers one of the best performances of Sunday night's ceremony. The 23-year-old began with her new single, «It’s Givin,» dancing on a desk surrounded by dancers in center stage. She smoothly segued into her mega-hit, «Big Energy,» with Young Dirty Bastard joining the rapper to pay homage to his father, the late Ol' Dirty Bastard. Young Dirty Bastard rapped his verse from the «Fantasy» remix, which Latto's track features.  2022 BET Awards: See All of the Star-Studded Performances! ET's Kevin Frazier spoke with filmmaker and producer Will Packer on the 2022 BET Awards red carpet, where Packer confirmed that the highly anticipated  sequel is currently in production and that «it's gonna be better than the first one.» That's a tall order, but Packer is confident in his declaration, adding, «You can’t do  if you’re not gonna top yourself.» When asked where the road trip comedy might take the stars — including Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith and Tiffany Haddish -- Packer shared that the Flossy Posse will not be returning to New Orleans for their next adventure. «I can't tell you where we're gonna go yet, but we were in New Orleans the first time and we're not going back to New Orleans,» he revealed. «We're going somewhere bigger and better.

Tisha Campbell is still feeling the love after BET's  reunion -- but that doesn’t mean she's down for a reboot. Earlier this year, Campbell, Martin Lawrence, Tichina Arnold and Carl Anthony Payne II reunited, marking nearly 30 years since they first graced the small screen together. One person missing was Tommy Ford, who played Tommy on the series, and died in 2016 at age 52. Campbell told ET that although the reunion was «magic,» Ford's absence would make a reboot difficult. «Tommy is not with us so that's a little hard to say,» the 53-year-old actress told ET's Kevin Frazier at the 2022 BET Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday.
