HBO series from The Weeknd and Euphoria creator Sam Levinson is undergoing an overhaul, according to reports.In a statement released on Monday (April 25), HBO said the series, titled The Idol, is “adjusting” its cast and crew to serve a new direction.“The Idol’s creative team continues to build, refine, and evolve their vision for the show and they have aligned on a new creative direction,” a statement reads.“The production will be adjusting its cast and crew accordingly to best serve this new approach to the series. We look forward to sharing more information soon.”According to Variety, director Amy Seimetz (The Killing) has departed the project.

According to sources, production was already completed on multiple episodes of the six-episode series, which will now be redone due to a change in creative directions.“‘The Idol’s’ creative team continues to build, refine, and evolve their vision for the show and they have aligned on a new creative direction,” HBO said in a statement to Variety.

The Weeknd has shared a remix of his ‘Dawn FM’ song ‘Out Of Time’ by fellow Canadian artist Kaytranada.Kaytra’s version retains the glistening electronics of the original along with Abel Tesfaye’s distinctive croon, though it trades the groove-heavy bass guitar for a deep sub-synth and more active percussion.It arrives as part of an EP that also includes a much shorter radio edit of the remix along with the original and an instrumental version of the studio recording.
