People living in England could face hefty fines if they go on holiday during the second lockdown. The country is currently on a lockdown expected to last until the 2nd December, with restrictions including a ban on international travel (there are some exceptions, such as for work purposes or education).

Other restrictions include staying at home except for specific purposes, businesses being ordered to shut, and travel restrictions within the UK.

The government has warned that anyone found breaching any of the new rules could face penalties starting from £200. Fines will double for subsequent offences, up to a maximum of £6,400.
