A pensioner died after being attacked by a tiger snake, which was still wrapped around his arm when his neighbour found him.
Winston William Fish, 78, had been repeatedly bitten by a 1.4 metre tiger snake and he was still conscious and holding the snake's head.
The snake had had bitten Mr Fish, a farmer from Tasmania, on his hand and inner thigh, reports Daily Mail Online. The incident happened on January 28 and he was rushed to hospital by helicopter.
He was treated with anti-venom but sadly Mr Fish died two days later from multiple organ failure caused by the snake venom, a coroner concluded.
