Barbara Windsor’s showbiz pals are calling for a huge memorial service to celebrate her glittering 60-year career. Stars who knew her best, including Paul O’Grady and Christopher Biggins say Dame Babs told of their sadness at not being able to give her the send-off she deserved because of Covid rules.
O’Grady, 65, said: “The last time I saw Barbara was the beginning of the year, I never got the chance to say goodbye. “I hope we can do something that’ll be a massive celebration – she’s a legend.” Biggins, 71, friends with Babs for 40 years after meeting in stage show Guys and Dolls, agreed. “We should have a huge Westminster Abbey or St Paul’s Cathedral service with an audience of 1,000,” he said. “The funeral Barbara deserves would see us
