FORMER EastEnders star Melissa Suffield opened up about the impact Dame Barbara Windsor had on her life. The 83-year-old actress "peacefully" passed away on Thursday [10 December] following a battle with Alzheimer's disease.
The actress revealed, Barbara's passing was made "sadder" for her because her own grandmother was in a battle with dementia.
During an Instagram story Q&A, one fan asked Melissa what her thoughts on Dame Barbara's passing and if she ever got to work with her. "A truly lovely lady," Melissa began her reply. "Made all the sadder because my granny is suffering with the same disease - I'm sure anyone with a family member in the same boat can relate." Melissa added: "She was so lovely to me when I got my GSCE results.
