East Manchester's proposed new arena could not only bring thousands of jobs and a huge £350m investment to the city, but outdoor spaces and transport improvements are also at the heart of the plans.
OVG, who are behind the 23,500-capacity venue, aim to make it the most sustainable in the UK with features including a terrace for visitors to enjoy during both event and non-event days.
The outdoor area would run along the canal side at the Eastlands site, where work could get underway on the project as early as September this year.
