In 1993, Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Negotiator Mahmoud Abbas signed a Declaration of Principles on Interim Self-Government Arrangements, commonly referred to as the “Oslo Accord,” at the White House.
The accords eventually collapsed in 1996 after Rabin’s assassination by an Israeli who opposed the Oslo Accords on religious grounds, but “Oslo,” a new HBO political thriller, is about the road to those accords.
