The Queen has announced with "deep sorrow" that her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, has died.
The 99-year-old passed away peacefully on the morning of April 9 at Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace said. Just weeks ago, he was released from a London hospital after undergoing treated for a pre-existing heart condition and an infection.
