The former television presenter took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the upcoming funeral taking place on Saturday, March 17. “The Queen, who has devoted her life to selfless public service, will be forced to sit all alone during the funeral of her husband of 73 years, due to covid restrictions,” he wrote. “How heartbreakingly sad.” The Duke of Edinburgh is due to be buried in a quiet ceremony at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
The Royal Family, including Prince Harry and Prince William, will be attending to pay their respects and support their grandmother.
