Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has dropped a hint that youngster Joe Hugill is edging closer to his first senior call-up for Man Utd. The 17-year-old scored four for United's academy in the clash with Liverpool on Saturday, overshadowing new £36million signing Amad Diallo.
Hugill only joined United from Sunderland last summer but has made a startling impression already. He has netted 14 goals overall so far this season, six of which came for the under-18s, with the others coming playing for the under-23s.
It was for the U23s that Hugill banged in his four strikes at the weekend, doubling his tally in that age bracket to go joint top scorer.
