The Argentine defender has returned to his homeland to join Boca Juniors, after United agreed to cancel his contract six months before it was due to expire.
His transfer, which was sealed on Tuesday, brings to an end a six-and-a-half-year stay at Old Trafford in which Rojo made 122 appearances and scored two goals.
Rojo was signed by Louis van Gaal on the back of some impressive appearances for Argentina at the 2014 World Cup. But he struggled for consistency and was deemed surplus to requirements by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in his last year at the club.
