Marcus Rashford (born 31 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Premier League club Manchester United and the England national team.
A Manchester United player from the age of seven, he scored two goals on both his first-team debut against Midtjylland in the UEFA Europa League in February 2016 and his Premier League debut against Arsenal three days later.
He also scored in his first Manchester derby match, his first EFL Cup match and his first UEFA Champions League match. With United, Rashford has so far won the FA Cup, EFL Cup, FA Community Shield and UEFA Europa League.
Manchester United are yet to reach a deal over the future of Odion Ighalo. The 30-year-old forward joined on a short-term loan deal from Shanghai Shenhua in January in order to cover for the injured Marcus Rashford, going on to score four goals in eight games before the enforced break.
The former Watford man was open about his dream coming true after supporting United as a youngster, but it now looks likely that he won’t play for the club again due to his return to China.
However, it has now emerged that Ighalo remains determined to stay in the Premier League despite his lucrative contact in the Chinese Super League, but talks so far have failed to reach a conclusion.
