A ninth suspect has been arrested after an 18-year-old was left seriously injured in a shooting. The victim was shot at on Shaw Road in Oldham on January 16.
Police put a number of cordons in place following the firearms incident and an investigation was launched. The victim was rushed to hospital with serious injuries and is now in a stable condition, GMP said.
On Monday (January 27), officers from the Force Critical Wanted Unit arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and assisting an offender.
Eight other arrests have been made in connection with the incident. Seven suspects; three juveniles, an 18-year-old man, a 19-year-old man, a man in his 20s, and a man in his 40s, have been bailed pending further investigations.
