A woman who alleges she was raped and sexually abused by a number of men in Rochdale claimed she was told she had been ‘prostituting’ herself, a jury has heard. 'Girl B' alleged a social worker told her that after concerns were raised she had been ‘having sex with a number of Asian men’, Minshull Street Crown Court heard. “They said I was prostituting myself, is actually what the social worker said to me.

It’s vile.” Girl B added: “I don’t remember them being concerned enough to do anything about it. They knew what was going on.” Girl B also confirmed she has lodged a ‘claim’ against Rochdale council and ‘two criminal injuries claims’.

The complainant, who was allegedly abused by three men while she was a teenager, took to the witness box for a second day of questioning.

Eight men are standing trial accused of a series of sexual offences, allegedly committed against two girls in the town between 2001 and 2006.
