NHS nurse fighting a last-ditch battle against an aggressive form of liver cancer is desperately trying to raise the money for specialist treatment which could save her life.

Charlotte Roe, who was a children’s nurse at the Royal Derby Hospital, learned last year that she had cancer of the bile duct between her liver and small intestine.Despite major surgery and follow-up chemotherapy, the 28-year-old was told this week the cancer is back and she could have just a few months to live.

But Charlotte is refusing to give up, Derbyshire Telegraph reports. A GoFundMe page for the woman, who met her “soulmate” Kyle last year, has raised over £70,000, with nearly 3,000 people donating.The money could be used for one of two potentially life-saving.
