The game was brought to a halt in the 41st minute when Spurs star Sergio Reguilon pointed out something to the referee Andre Marriner on the far side of the pitch.
Marriner immediately stopped play as fellow Tottenham ace Eric Dier approached the technical area while making a chest pumping motion, indicating the severity of the situation.
