It's human nature that if one of your neighbours was to win the lottery you'd be casting an envious glance down the road when the Ferrari turns up.
That's the kind of jealousy that easily rages in football and was on show yesterday when the takeover of Newcastle United instantly propelled them into a very small bracket as one of the richest football clubs in the world.
They might currently be 19th in the Premier League but the takeover backed by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) will almost certainly turn Newcastle into challengers in the next few years.
It would be hard not to with the kind of money the manager - and let's face it, that won't be Steve Bruce - will have available.
