Newcastle United could bring Phil Jones to the club from Manchester United in the summer. The former England defender has failed to impress Ole Gunnar Solskjaer enough to secure a regular starting berth over the last year, despite the exit of Chris Smalling and injuries to both Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo.
The 28-year-old has only made eight appearances in all competitions so far this season, and he is now set to move on despite his contract running until the summer of 2023.
The Mirror have reported that United will sell up for £12m, in a similar fee to the one they paid for his services from Blackburn back in 2011.
