Newcastle United's new owners plan to remove the remaining Sports Direct branding from around St. James' Park within the coming weeks.The club then plan to replace the logos of former owner Mike Ashley's company with those of Saudi Arabian businesses that they hope to secure sponsorship deals with.The Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund are the majority shareholders of the club having acquired an 80% share when the £300million takeover was completed in October.A change in Premier League rules on owner-related sponsorship rules is expected this month that would allow Newcastle to go ahead with their planned removal of Sports Direct branding.Clubs hope to agree by the end of November to a rule change requiring owner-related deals to be worth.
