Premier League rules will come into place that will directly affect every club. The league hosted its Annual General Meeting on Thursday as they prepare for the start of the 2020/21 season.It has been an erratic year that saw matches postponed for nearly three months as a result of the Covid-19 crisis.The result has seen the start of next season pushed back to September 12.And in the AGM, officials and shareholders discussed a number of items but at the forefront for clubs were rules, with VAR and substitution laws to change.One change that immediately took place was a move from three subs to five post-lockdown as sides dealt with fitness problems.Match-day squads were also extended to 20-men with benches allowed to hold nine.
