The Met Office weather maps suggest snow, sleet and hail will hit parts of Greater Manchester just before Christmas. Parts of northern England and Scotland could see snowfall, along with sleet and hail, starting in the early hours of Sunday morning (December 22).
Previously, the Met Office said there were no strong indications that the UK would have a white Christmas, but they are constantly updating forecasts and maps to monitor the weather.
According to the latest weather maps, hail and snow are forecast to hit many parts of the north of England and Scotland from the early hours of Sunday morning.
