Holidaymakers wearing reusuable face masks will be stopped from boarding flights to France due to strict government measures.
According to French law, passengers must wear a disposable mask, despite many airlines allowing people to wear reusable coverings.
The legislation states: "All persons aged eleven or over shall, on board an aircraft engaged in public transport to, from or within the national territory, wear the protective mask referred to in section I of Article 49 from the moment of boarding." It specifies that the masks must comply with standard EN 14683 - which are standard, single-use surgical masks, or another mask made in Europe which has been approved by French safety authorities.
