iOS - Android The clean-up mission was partly led by local charity group Helping Hands which was set up by Hamilton man Sean Boyd to help the community struggling through various issues during the course of the pandemic.
The group has also been tackling fly-tipping in the area and ensuring large dumped items such as mattresses and furniture are cleared out of the area.Members are currently meeting every Saturday morning to carry out the good deed with the aim to "make a difference" to the community.Recent clean-ups have taken place in the Whitehill woods; the Cadzow Industrial Estate; and the Udston and Glenlee woods.And the volunteers aren't stopping there as members are constantly suggesting new areas in Hamilton to target through online.
