Amy Adams stars in the film adaptation of the best-selling novel The Woman in the Window and the movie has been sitting on the shelf for over a year.
The film was originally supposed to hit theaters in October 2019, but after some audiences in test screenings felt the plot was too confusing, the release was delayed so that reshoots could be completed. “There were some plot points that people found a bit confusing — I would say possibly too opaque maybe,” director Joe Wright told EW. “So we had to go back and clarify certain points, but I think also we tried to make sure we didn’t oversimplify anything and make things too clear.
