Netflix down: Thousands of Brits complain they can't access streaming channel

Frustrated Netflix users have said the service has crashed for them. The streaming service said it is investigating after film fans reported outages.

Several shared pictures of their screens on Twitter, complaining they could not watch their favourite shows. Responding to a customer, the service wrote on Twitter: "We are investigating the issue at the moment." Website Down Detector, which monitors service outages, shows more than 1,500 people reported issues shortly after 10am today.

Netflix horror ‘Bird Box’ is getting a Spanish spin-off
Netflix has signed a deal for a Spanish language spin-off of the streaming service’s hit 2018 horror movie Bird Box.The new film will see original producers Dylan Clark, who is currently working on The Batman, and Chris Morgan (who previously worked on Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw) return while Spanish duo Alex and David Pastor – best known for the 2020 Netflix thriller The Occupant and the 2009 pandemic movie Carriers – will write and direct.The as-yet-untitled film is due to start production towards the end of this year in Spain. No cast members have been announced.

Naman Ramachandran Indian government body, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, has sent a notice to Netflix calling on it to stop streaming “Bombay Begums,” on the grounds that the original series could incite “abuse and exploitation.”The notice, issued on Thursday, demands that Netflix stop streaming the series, which bowed on March 8, within 24 hours, and provide a detailed action report, failing which “the Commission will be constrained to initiate appropriate action” under Section 14 in the Commissions for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005.The section empowers the commission to examine witnesses and documents and forward the case to a magistrate to try in court.The commission says it was acting on two complaints
