mum has reported how her skin ended up resembling that of a "roast chicken" and was warned that she may need a skin graft after suffering third-degree burns after using carrot oil to sunbathe.

Mum-of-one Laura Bevin was hoping to achieve that summer glow during a family day trip to the beach with her sun-kissed mum Carol Bevin, 52, and her 29-year-old sister Nicola Bevin last month.

Despite her repeated efforts to smear her five-year-old daughter Millie head-to-toe in factor 50 sun lotion, Laura evaded the suncream herself and instead used the £7.99 Calypso Original Carrot Oil deep tanning spray during the seven-hour stint in Southport.
