A mum who was told that a lump on her breast was probably a cyst went on to discover that she tragically had breast cancer.Elisa Ward, aged 36, was in the bath when she discovered the lump.
Medics did not believe that it was cancer, but thankfully double-checked.The biopsy scan returned that she had a tumour. Up until then Elisa, from Cannock, had been working two jobs, including in a Co-op supermarket, caring for her four youngsters and studying for a Law degree, Stoke-on-Trent Live reports.
She was forced to move onto Universal Credit and there were delays in the payments coming through. Following her diagnosis, Elisa was scheduled to start chemotherapy.
