Mum accidentally shoots 5-year-old son while aiming gun at escaped dog in street
dailystar.co.ukarrested last Saturday (May 29) after she fired a pistol three times at a loose dog, with one of the bullets ricocheting into her son's stomach.The child was transported to a hospital and is said to be in a stable condition with what are believed to be non life-threatening wounds.The incident took place at around 2:15pm in Houston, Texas, when a 6-month-old boxer dog named Bruno escaped out his front door, ABC13 reports.A video shows Bruno's owner following the runaway puppy onto the street before three bullets were fired at the dog by Vargas, who was riding bikes down the street with her family.According to Houston Police Department, she fired a small caliber pistol at the dog three times across a public roadway and in the direction of two.
