More than 61,000 Lanarkshire residents file their self assessment tax returns ahead of deadline

More than 61,000 Lanarkshire residents were among the over 656,000 Scottish customers who filed their tax returns on time.But HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) is reminding people who haven’t completed their self assessment returns they only have until January 31 to do so.In Scotland, 656,547 customers filed their returns for the tax year 2020 to 2021 by January 31 this year, with 33,877 based in South Lanarkshire.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
