South Lanarkshire residents can track gritters in the area on a new website

Gritters across South Lanarkshire have been named by local school children and are available to track live.With the temperatures surging below zero, gritters across South Lanarkshire have been out in force.

A dedicated gritter tracking map has been developed to allow locals to track their progress in real time.Local school children have been involved in naming the gritters, and residents can follow the likes of Gritter Thunberg, Lewis Caploughdi, Oh Plougher of Scotland, Salt Disney and Spread Mercury on the map as they move around the area.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
