A man is appearing in court charged in connection with a number of thefts from Lanarkshire homes. The 39-year-old is accused of attempted housebreaking, housebreaking and theft of a vehicle.

It comes after cops launched enquiries over reported thefts in the Clydesdale area over the past two weeks.
