Campaign to save vital bus service running through Lanarkshire hits another bump in the road

Campaigners fighting to save a “lifeline” bus which runs through the Biggar and Abington areas have hit a setback and are calling on the Scottish Government to step-in.The 101/2 Dumfries to Edinburgh service which travels from Dumfries to Edinburgh and includes the Lanarkshire towns on its timetables was set for the axe but was handed a stay of execution back in July.After a series of demonstrations by residents in Lanarkshire, SPT handed the service a six-months extension.
