Hundreds of homes across Greater Manchester are without electricity following two power cuts in the region. More than 1,300 properties have been affected in total, affecting residents in parts of Manchester, Trafford and Rochdale.
The largest of the two power cuts has taken place in Hulme and Stretford. A total of 1,287 properties are without power in the M15 and M16 postcode areas.
Electricity North West says the power cut is due to an 'unexpected incident' on a high-voltage cable providing electricity in the area.
A post on the company's website says: "We didn't know before your electricity went off that this was going to happen but now we know, rest assured we will get your power back on safely and as quickly as possible."
