A man who assaulted and raped a woman has been jailed after a jury found him guilty of the offences. Scott Lindsay threatened his victim with a knife, grabbed her hair and cut her on the chest, Liverpool Crown Court heard.
The jury was told Lindsay had visited his victim's address in Runcorn on Saturday, April 8 2023, assaulting her after she had refused to give him money for drugs.
A day later, he approached the victim in a vehicle and proceeded to threaten to kill her. Following this, the victim reported the incident to Cheshire Police, who launched a full investigation into the incident.
