An appeal was set up on GoFundMe by Debs Bleathman, Waffle's family neighbour, who detailed the horror when his injuries were revealed.She said: "His face was covered in blood and there were a large number of what looked like puncture wounds all over his head."It looked like he may have been attacked by either a badger or a fox, both of which can do a lot of damage if cornered or defending cubs."Waffle was driven to the vets for urgent pain killers.There, they found what they believed were shots which had ruptured Waffle's eye and damaged it beyond the point the eye could be saved.Debs added: "Imagine how his family felt seeing this, especially the two boys, aged eight and nine, who are Waffle's world and best.
