RTE star Miriam O’Callaghan has shared some adorable snaps of her first granddaughter being christened. And the Prime Time journalist explained how there was a deeply poignant reason behind the little girl’s name.

Miriam, clearly couldn’t hide her delight at becoming a grandmother for the first time as she celebrated the christening with family over the weekend.

Writing on her Instagram she said: ‘So my little girl Alannah just had a little girl – and we had the best day christening her yesterday.’ She also revealed the gorgeous little girl was being given the Irish name – Éabha. ‘Éabha Anne Breathnach is my first grandchild and I am over the moon.
