iOS and Android.The store works on a membership basis and provides a mini supermarket-like environment where residents have the opportunity to choose food specific to their own preferences and dietary requirements.Organisers want to take a dignified approach to food insecurity while helping money go further by giving access to quality food at a lower cost.Residents visiting Choices will be asked to pay an annual membership fee of £1.There will be a weekly charge of £3 per week for individuals and £5 per week for larger families.Unlike a food bank, Choices is not emergency food provision, and no referral is required to access the shop.Shop vounteers will also be able to direct individuals and families to other services who can provide.
