Mike Tyson's former trainer Teddy Atlas has explained how he had to pair him with grown men before he had even become a teenager.
The 53-year-old became the youngest heavyweight champion ever at 20 and holds an illustrious record which includes victories over Trevor Berbick, Larry Holmes and Carl Williams.
As well as that, it was his style that caught the eye - even as a youngster. His power and speed was something that had never been seen before in the heavyweight division.
