Michael Owen has hit out at the "negative" way Ole Gunnar Solskjaer set up Manchester United for their trip to Leeds. The Red Devils were held to a 0-0 draw at Elland Road on Sunday despite many fans predicting a thrilling encounter akin to the reverse fixture at Old Trafford, which Solskjaer's side won 6-2 in December.
The Norwegian opted for a conservative midfield pairing of Scott McTominay and Fred, with Paul Pogba dropping to the bench despite his excellent recent form.
Owen was discouraged by the team selection, which he believes handed a boost to Leeds even before a ball had been kicked. "I was disappointed with the team that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer picked," the former Red Devils and England striker told Premier League Productions .
