Manchester United legend Paul Scholes believes Paul Pogba is at his most effective when he is given a "free role", like he was in the Red Devils' 6-2 win over Roma in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final clash.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has begun playing Pogba out wide on the left, instead of using him as part of a midfield two.Pogba played there against Roma and Scholes felt the Frenchman was "outstanding", claiming the new role he has been given allows him to be "a bit of a maverick".Speaking to BT Sport, Scholes said: "I thought Pogba was outstanding tonight.
