Police in Manchester say they are 'too busy' to enforce the new law on wearing masks in shops
hereThe move is designed to help prevent a second peak of the coronavirus which has been linked to 45,000 deaths in the UK.But the leader of the Greater Manchester branch of the Police Federation, which represents rank-and-file members, insisted stretched bobbies already have enough to do and won't have time to enforce it. Chairman Stu Berry said: "If the Government's decision is a consequence of medical advice, I feel it is the responsibility of people in communities to try adhere to it even (if) they may think that some of the messaging is quite confusing and poorly timed.
