Manchester United have been given fresh hope they can sign Jadon Sancho after Borussia Dortmund revealed they have a 'gentleman's agreement' which means he can leave this summer.
But the club's sporting director Michael Zorc has warned that no such agreement exists with Erling Haaland, who is expected to be a target for United as well as Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
United wanted Sancho in last summer's transfer window, but didn't meet Dortmund's £108million asking price. This summer the focus appears to have shifted towards 37-goal hitman Haaland, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side needing a new centre-forward.
