Meyers Leonard has been trending on social media all day following being caught using an anti-Semitic slur in a video.
The Miami Heat basketball star was overheard saying the slur in a video game livestream and the team issued a statement that says Meyers will be away “indefinitely”. “The Miami Heat vehemently condemns the use of any form of hate speech,” the basketball team said in a statement on Twitter on Tuesday night (March 9).
The statement adds, “The words used by Meyers Leonard were wrong and we will not tolerate hateful language from anyone associated with our franchise.
