Storm Conall is set to hit the UK tonight and bring heavy wind and rain to the south of England. The Met Office announced that Storm Conall, named by Dutch Met Service, will hit the UK at around 10 pm tonight (November 26) and will continue throughout the night.
The news of Storm Conall comes shortly after Storm Bert battered the UK with heavy rain, which led to severe floods in parts of the country, particularly in the south.
There are currently more than 90 flood warnings across the UK, including one severe warning. Met Office Chief Meteorologist, Steve Willington, said “Much of the warning area will see 15-20 mm of rain, with 30-40 mm in some areas.
There is a lower chance of 50 mm of rain in a few places, more likely for areas such as the Isle of Wight, Sussex and Kent, before rain eases and clears by early afternoon.
